This hike is located about 15min west of Purcellville towards Berryville – the Hike normally takes about 4 hours + breaks. We plan on conquering in 4 hours.

Upon hike commencement – a timer will be started. We have 4 hours to get out to the over look and back to the parking lot. Due to the nature of the trail – we do not recommend running unless you run trails with switch backs and rocky terrain. As the old saying goes – the Tortoise beat the Hare.
Requirements to get your badge:
1: Show up 10min early to be ready.
2: At 8am we will chit chat for a minute, go over what type of animals live in the area that may pose a threat (snakes/bears), review the rules then get going. You are not required to stick with the group – you may advance ahead or lag behind. Joey will set a pace that will allow everyone to finish before the time limit.
3: Cross the designated area we mark upon the start of the hike before the4 hour timer is up.
Precautions and other information
1: If you are out of shape or prone to heart issues – we do not recommend you attend this challenge as a rescue by the EMS will take some time due to them hiking out. The pace held will not be difficult, but the terrain itself can be.
2: You are welcome to bring family, friends and behaved/non-aggressive dogs. Please keep your pups on a leash. They are not required to cross the finish line in time – with that being said, a spouse can trail behind with the kids to get some outside time while you treck ahead and join us on the come back.
3: Stay on the trail unless you must relieve yourself. Then get right back on.
4. Please keep in mind if you wish to Carry, we do cross into WV. Please look at the laws for Jefferson County WV.
