Joey is the Owner of Burr Strength and Performance. He has been training since 2011 when he interned with the Strength and Conditioning Dept while enrolled at Longwood University. Following his time at Longwood, he started Personal Training for two and a half years until he, due to many requests from his clients, to open up a gym. He opened up a gym in Purcellville on Nov 1, 2017 with almost nothing in it and slowly built it each month with the current members dues. Overtime, it flourished into a fully fledged gym with an amazing coaching staff. He then closed the current location and opened up a slightly larger, but way better, location right down the street in April 2019!
Joey loves working with people looking to better their lives. He has created a unique training method that can fit anyone and everyone side by side. He works with our youth, our middle school and high school athletes as well as the College Athletes. He also works primarily with the gym members who are looking to be a better version of them! He also works with teams and groups of individuals working toward a specific goal as well as 1 on 1 members.
Joey Teaches Bootcamps, Kettlebell & Boxing, Youth Fitness, Athletic Development, Fundamentals, Saturday Morning Sweat, Training Camp and works with 1 on 1s, small groups and sport teams.
