We want to take a moment and highlight a member every two weeks who pushes as best as they can at the gym, leads a positive life to those around them, and to those who always go the extra mile.
ERYNE RACINO
Eryne was chosen this month due to her consistency of coming to the gym. She has a crazy schedule and I commend her for making time to take care of herself. If you take care of yourself now, your body will take care of you later! Great job Eryne!
1. What got you interested in fitness?
Working out has always been a part of my routine but majority of the time it’s felt like a chore and I never really felt like I was physically fit. I always felt like I was missing something. I have completed half marathons and Spartan races because I have always felt like having a goal would push me. What I really needed was more of a program!
2. How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?
Juggling act! Its not easy with work, both my kids sports practices, and figuring out dinner. I literally sit down Sunday and figure out how to make it work. I love having to sign up because it holds me accountable-I push through even when I’ve had a long work day, am tired, and just want to put my slippers on!!
3. Do you have a/any tip(s) for newer people who are just getting into workouts?
Trust the coaches when they push you! And be patient with yourself and your results. Nothing happens overnight and if you want weight loss to stick it has to be a slow process. You never regret a workout, but you do regret the workout you skip!
4. What is your current workout routine?
2 boot camps-Sunday am and Monday pm
2 training camps-Tuesday and Thursday
Saturday am Sweat as my extra if I can make it:).
5. What is your favorite part of fitness? Reaching goals! Your least favorite? Right now it’s the ass bikes!
6. What is your next/current fitness goal?
Continuing to be consistent with working out 4-5 times a week and eating healthy. I really want to focus on toning up and getting stronger. My 1 year goals at Burr Strength is to make it to the top of the rope and to do a pull-up (next August).
7. How has Burr Strength and Performance helped you on your fitness Journey?
Wow! I am so happy I joined 3 months ago. Joey, Kelsey, and Gina have pushed me to “get more weight,” or to keep going when I would have given up (or taken a break) had I been working out by myself.
8. What is your favorite class you take?
ALL! I love all the new friends I have met and appreciate how we all motivate each other. I am a social person so I really get my energy from those around me.
