{"id":5184,"date":"2018-12-15T19:19:56","date_gmt":"2018-12-16T00:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/burrstrength.com\/p\/?p=5184"},"modified":"2018-12-15T19:19:56","modified_gmt":"2018-12-16T00:19:56","slug":"member-highlight-casey-jones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/burrstrength.com\/p\/member-highlight-casey-jones\/","title":{"rendered":"Member Highlight: Casey Jones!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>We want to take a moment and highlight a member every two weeks who pushes as best as they can at the gym, leads a positive life to those around them, and to those who always go the extra mile.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><br>\nCASEY JONES<br>\n<\/strong>Casey was chosen for quite a few reasons. The first is his tenacity to perform (most of the time) the hardest level of conditioning even if it slows him down &ndash; he is a bad as mother $#%#&amp;% &mdash; and i respect that. He is not here to have the best score &ndash; he his here for himself and I admire that beyond what I can speak. He has shown up through his bicep tendonitis and worked around it and through it when he could. Several months back he had a goal. a 200# bench press before 2019. He will get it with the remaining 16 days. I believe, per our conversation, on the 29th or 30th he will be maxing out. He will get it. Casey &ndash; keep it up. Stick to your guns, do what you can and continue to punish yourself&hellip; within reason (the last being a HUGE trait I admire).<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. What got you interested in fitness?<br>\n<\/strong> I first got interested in getting Healthy after my Daughter was born and have been working on it in many ways since then.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. How do you find\/make time to get your workouts in?<\/strong><br>\nI like to workout in the morning. It is my way of getting ready to take on the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Do you have a\/any tip(s) for newer people who are just getting into workouts?<\/strong><br>\nDon&rsquo;t be afraid of trying new things and listening to input from people who have already done it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. What is your current workout routine?<\/strong><br>\nI try to make it in 6 days a week for TC, Bootcamp, KB\/Boxing, &amp; SMS<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. What is your favorite part of fitness?<\/strong><br>\nThe way it makes me feel so much better.<br>\n<strong>Your least favorite?<\/strong><br>\nGetting up and doing it on those days you just want to skip.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. What is your next\/current fitness goal?<\/strong><br>\nI am working to bench press 200 before January and trying to get to a good place weight and fitness wise to be able to maintain consistently.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. How has Burr Strength and Performance helped you on your fitness Journey?<\/strong><br>\nIt has been great getting to meet so many new and different people. We all come for different reasons, but looking for a way to get healthier. Joey and team make it fun, but hard, and get results!<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. What is your favorite class you take?<\/strong><br>\nTC. I like the variety of it. The varied warmups, conditioning, and working on new exercises and maxing them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.
