Owner, Head Performance Coach
Joey is the owner of Burr Strength and Performance. He started right out of high school at a local gym. After 2.5 years he decided he needed to expand in order to assist more people and coach the way he really wanted to, hence the Creation of Burr Strength and Performance.
His coaching style is a belief that everyone, no matter the age or limitation, can move like an athlete. He will take you and make you feel great both physically and mentally. He has clients from 5th grade all the way to the young age of 75.
He played Rugby all through College and High School and has a background training D1 Athletes for 3 years while enrolled at Longwood University studying Kinesiology.
Stephanie is a 25 year old mother to a 4 year old little boy with a passion for fitness and nutrition. Stephanie has played sports from the moment she started walking, her athletic career began with soccer, then onto basketball, softball, and volleyball. At the age of 16 Stephanie started weight training, she graduated from Strasburg High school and along with that many athletic accomplishments and lifting records.
Stephanie is experienced in strength training and body building and looks to compete in the future. Sports and fitness have always been a huge part of her life and she is excited to be apart of Burr Strength and help others reach their goals!
Kelsey is newer trainer but has a passion for fitness and has been working out her whole life. In her high school years she started out as a cross country runner and now enjoys intense interval training, Barre, and heavy lifting. She works with all fitness levels and likes to mix up workout styles so you don’t get bored! She believes workouts should be fun! Get excellent results while having fun – she is Burr Strength Approved!
John is a local teacher with a love of physical culture. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in philosophy, taught high school biology for six years, and now teaches health and physical education. He has a background in martial arts, and has been training for over ten years. His martial arts instructors introduced him to kettlebells, which have been his primary strength and conditioning tool for five years. In 2016, he earned his level 1 kettlebell instructor certification through StrongFirst, and is currently training for his level 2 certification, as well as bodyweight and barbell certs. He holds a certification through Ground Force Method as well. In training, John believes in simplicity, consistency, and quality.
